Is it later yet? :P

'Later' has probably become 'use all the time we have to add additional polish'. If we have the time, may as well use it. |D

Sorry for the inconvenience, but better to put out a polished product than a subpar one!

So is this going to be a prequel or just a side story to the original Sacred Earth Memory? And is this going to be just a short game made in time for the contest or are you eventually going to turn it into a much larger, more thought out adventure just like SEM?

Nah, this is a complete one shot. It's not going to become anything bigger. And it's not a part of the SEM continuity, so characters, while sharing personalities, backstories, and such with SEM, are being written into a short, self contained plot for the purposes of this game only.

Oooh, a VX Ace port?

Not exactly. It's a port of a lot of the SEM mechanics, but SEM is still on 2k3 for now. This is a one shot with it's own plot.

Downloading.

I am going to die on the battlefield.

Dormant Sky

His kickstarter has some updates, but it's been a while over there too. So no one can be quite sure where he is progress-wise atm.

Legend of Vanadia

What? ...Damn, that's...well, rest in peace, Aten.

Eremidia: An Empty Tome

I gave this a shot last night.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was much better balanced than Wandering Brawler by miles. The spread of different characters and abilities were interesting and the timed hits system seems to have been improved.

I was actually enjoying myself till I ran into a missing file error in battle that threw all my progress out the window. e__e

But then, I had an old version, so I figured that was fixed. Oh well!

The writing needs more consideration though. I know the story doesn't seem like it'll be all that deep, but I'm seeing a load of invalid words all over the place and awkward sentences abound. Maybe get some help with that? Hell, I'll even offer to help in that regard.

In any case, the system mechanics were sound, so nothing to say there.

All in all, I had good fun. I might even download the new version and give it another shot. And for the record, my party was Marvel, Souki, Ryuna, and Nina. They all seemed to work pretty well together despite being a party I made up blind with no prior knowledge of their abilities.

Sacred Earth: Memory

Haha, well. It's a visual novel in that a lot of the story is presented through static scenes and portraits rather than sprites and maps.

But it has a fair amount of RPG gameplay as well. It's an oddity for sure. But it's still very much playable.
